The Forum of British Pubs have completed their 20th MRO determination during the last 12 months, giving us direct and up-to-date insight into the real impact of the pandemic on the pub rental market. Dave Mountford will be sharing this valuable knowledge with our members and supporters in a Zoom presentation.
Dave comments: “COVID-19 has created a scenario that even the most conflicted surveyor can’t ignore and, as a consequence, the MRO procedure has created many comparable rents all over the country.
The data we have collected reflects, not just on the improbable and highly misleading MRO projections from the regulated companies, but also the vastly inflated tied rents that are being put forward at a time of national crisis for the industry.”
Through sharing this valuable insight, the Forum of British Pubs hopes to empower pub tenants with the knowledge and support they need to challenge pub-owning companies over increasing rents that are already unsustainable.
