Working together to create a real voice for pubs.

Working together to create a real voice for pubs.
The pub industry – past, present and an unknown future
The Forum of British Pubs Managing Director Ian Cass chats to Greg Mulholland. A former Liberal democrat MP, Chair of the British Pub Confederation and Campaign Director for the newly established Campaign for Pubs.
Both Ian and Greg are passionate about the pub industry, they have spent years campaigning for fair treatment of tenants by the large pub owning business. During this conversation they discuss the introduction of the Pubs Code, what its intention was and why they believe it has failed.
Greg launched the Campaign for Pubs at the same time as we launched the Forum of British Pubs. Ian and Greg discuss the similarities in their common goal which is to save pubs and fight for fair treatment of pub tenants from the Pub owning businesses. They also discuss the differences and the additional support members of the Forum of British Pubs can expect to receive.
The meeting is concluded with Ian and Dave answering questions submitted by Forum members.
What is clear from this meeting is the common goal of supporting the pub industry by both Ian and Greg and working alongside one another creates a bigger voice. That collective voice of both these businesses and the tenants we both support and represent.
